“You ain’t had this feelin’ since Short in ’97.”

Subsequent to sharing three EPs, Half-A-Mil, the couple made up Dom Kennedy and Hit-Boy at last dropped their full-length LP a week ago. Of course, it’s a greater amount of the West Coast futurism they’ve culminated throughout the last couple of undertakings, and “Fix Me A Plate” is an ideal case of what they specialize in. Helped by Larry June, the track sounds without a moment’s delay like the past and what’s to come. “You ain’t had this inclination since Nate Dogg in any event,” raps Dom. In the mean time, Larry June shares some correspondingly nostalgic boasts. “My Jays from ’88/You ain’t had this feelin’ since Short in ’97/One catch on the car/Roof flyin’ away.” All the while, the beat is cold and insignificant, similar to Cali’s solution to Pharrell’s Hell Hath No Fury creation.
