Queen Elizabeth II Officially Consents To Meghan Markle Marrying Prince Harry

Queen Elizabeth II, the ruler of England, has formally assented to the marriage between her grandson Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

This is in accordance with the Succession to the Crown Act of 2013, which expresses that the initial six individuals in line to the position of authority must acquire the assent of the Queen before wedding.

The Queen, giving her official assent in an official articulation, stated:

My Lords, I announce my Consent to a Contract of Matrimony between My Most Dearly Beloved Grandson Prince Henry Charles Albert David of Wales and Rachel Meghan Markle, which assent I am causing to be connoted under the Great Seal and to be entered in the Books of the Privy Council.

The two are relied upon to wed in May 19.
